Resources:

In the event of a natural disaster, veterinarians and veterinary support staff are uniquely qualified to provide the clinical skills, equipment and supplies in the treatment of pets, horses, livestock, and wildlife.

These resources can help organize veterinary resources and provide mechanisms for those resources to be used within the existing plans for disaster response.  Through training, organization and coordination with agencies involved in disasters, Minnesota veterinarians can contribute greatly to animal response efforts.
